Living in Prosperity

Mark Caine wrote,” The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself.”  Life is experienced at the spiritual, mental and physical levels of existence. At our core level we are the creative essence of an infinite and opulent energy. We may consciously choose to build mental images to support new and dynamic ideas and affirmations that direct this universal cosmic force to unfold as our dynamic life experience. To work in harmony with this energy, we must also acknowledge the triune nature of the universe and recognize that our actions play a huge role in our ability to work effectively within and as the totality of causative mind. Dr. Ernest Holmes said, “The universe has been called the great the trinity, or triune unity of spirit. The entire manifestation of spirit, both visible and invisible is the body of God.”  We are spiritual beings creating a spiritual experience. Our physical environment is an effect of our consciousness.  The environment in which we interact is manifested universal energy poised to transform and take on new forms the instant we give this energy a new direction, through our thoughts and actions. This divine presence responds to us, by what we project into it, both in thought and in form. We not only direct this energy at the spiritual and mental levels of existence, we also direct this causative force at the physical level with our presence.  No one may be held captive by their environment once they choose to project themselves in a way that exceeds their current experience. You are a creative force of the Divine, spiritual in nature, powerful in your mentality, and pure energy in bodily form. Our environment is energy, responding to us, by what we project into it with the attitude of our appearance.

We exist as one with the triune nature of the universe. When we meditate and do affirmative prayer, we align ourselves at the spiritual level with the omniscience of Mind. When we mentally focus our thoughts to stay in the affirmative, we are working as omnipotent beings at the mental level. The physical expression we call a body, is the energy of God in manifested form, interacting at the physical level, with other expressions of manifested energy. How we treat this manifested energy and how we portray it to the world, what we say about it, how we choose to dress it and the situations we choose to allow our body to be placed into, is either a physical affirmation of the spiritual and mental work we have been conducting, or quite simply it is not.  Our physical presence is as much an affirmation of our divinity as our prayerful words. In working as the totality of Mind at all three levels of existence to produce a prosperous life, there needs to be a mindful synchronicity of our prayers, our thoughts and our form. When we do affirmative prayer work for abundance and train our minds with affirmations for prosperity, we must also live as if the spiritual work we have done is complete by living prosperously in the now. Not when we get that pay raise, win the lottery, or receive an inheritance. If we say we will start to live prosperously after any of those events occur, we are placing our good in constant future tense, something to be obtained at later time, as opposed to our good being available here and now. Anthony Robbins said, “Only when your consciousness is totally focused on the moment can you receive whatever gift, lesson, or delight that moment has to offer.”  The energy of the Universe stands at the ready to transcend the current environment. This energy takes It’s lead to manifest from the affirmation of your presence as well as your word. When we conduct affirmative prayer work for prosperity and use affirmations to train our subconscious mind to express in prosperous ways, we are working effectively with only two thirds of the triune universe. In order to work at 100% as the totality of the Universe, we must allow our physical presence to support our spiritual and mental work by looking and acting prosperously.  To look and act prosperously in the physical realm, I am not suggesting or endorsing, that anyone buy a new wardrobe or a new car.  Robert Collier said, “If you see yourself as prosperous, you will be. If you see yourself as continually hard up, that is exactly what you will be.”  How we mentally view ourselves is how we present ourselves to the world. When we present the complete picture of ourselves to the world, we are presenting ourselves as a physical affirmation of divine energy ready to interact and give direction to the manifest energy of the Universe. And Spirit always responds to us, at every level of existence based on the affirmations we present to it.  When I entered the corporate world as a young adult, I did not have much money to invest in business attire.  Starting in an entry level position, I knew I needed a few ties and slacks so that is where my money was spent. For shirts I purchased one white shirt. Every night for two years I would come home, wash my shirt, iron it, and have it ready for the next day. Many of my peers wore jeans. After several promotions and much success, I left the corporate world in 2000 for ministry and I left with a closet full of starched white shirts all pressed by the cleaners. Many of my peers from that entry level job are still in the same job. Some of whom probably could have done the higher level jobs I held as well, if not better.  Living in prosperity does not mean obtaining material items, nor does it mean living beyond your means. Living in prosperity means taking an honest assessment of where you are in life, what you have, and what you would like to achieve, then interacting with the world as a physical affirmation of your spiritual and mental efforts by using the good you currently have in order to create more good. Energy responds to like energy. If you feel prosperous and if you look prosperous to the best of your ability, you are creating an energetic presence of yourself that will draw more prosperous energy into your existence.  Just as you are, with what you currently have, you have the ability to live prosperously and affirm to the Universe at the physical level you are ready for more.  Whatever you desire, show the universe you are capable of sustaining it by developing a consciousness that affirms there is no shortage of it. When we present ourselves to interact with spirit at the physical level, we are drawing to our experience the people and experiences which reflect exactly what we project into the manifested realm of energy. You deserve the best life has to offer in this moment and you begin living the best life has to offer the instant you no longer allow yourself to accept anything but the best from yourself. This means break out the good china and silver that you save for company and eat in your dining room. Throw away old clothes or better yet, give them to the charity of your choice. Allow yourself to enjoy the prosperity you have in this moment of your existence and the energy of your enjoyment will draw even more prosperity to you. 

A relative, who was 89 years old, gave us the silverware she had been collecting for over 50 years.  In honor of her we served dinner using the silverware she gave us, and she said, “I wouldn’t have given to you, if I knew you were going to use it.” In over 50 years the silver had never been used. She was saving it for a special occasion or special company. Your life is a special occasion. You are the special company the universe is meant to entertain. If we do not treat ourselves as special, we cannot expect the Universe to treat us as special. There is no other special occasion or reason greater than the demonstration of you to celebrate the good you bring to life. To live in prosperity we must train ourselves to always say yes to the prosperity we have created. When we consider every day of our life as a special occasion that deserves to have the best we are working within the totality of infinite mind, affirming at the spiritual, mental and physical level, we are ready to receive more, to give more and to share more. The instant we seize this moment to see ourselves as prosperous and allow ourselves to live prosperously to the best of our ability, is the instant we begin interacting with causative force of the universe at all levels of existence. And that energy of Spirit draws to us, even more opportunities and possibilities to live prosperously. Prosperity is the ability to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, and with whom you want to do it. Money does not come into that definition. To live prosperously now there is not a need for more money. There is only the necessity to allow yourself to enjoy the abundance and prosperity you have created and to interact with the world in prosperous ways. To live in prosperity, you must bring the prosperity you currently have to life. Allow your presence and all of your physical actions to be the affirmation of your intention to be an ever expanding inlet and outlet for the prosperous energy of God and you will always be living in prosperity.
