Isn’t it fascinating how life has a way of bringing the right people and opportunities into our experience at the most remarkable moments? You meet someone and discover that they have the information you’ve been looking for. An invitation arrives that introduces you to an entirely new possibility. Or an idea you’ve been considering suddenly finds the perfect outlet for expression. Don’t you just love those moments? They remind us that there is so much more happening in this wonderful adventure called Life than any one of us could possibly orchestrate.
Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote, “We are surrounded by a Creative Mind which reacts to our thought.” Holmes is guiding us to the awareness that we are participating in a Universe alive with Creative Intelligence. Our expectations and intentions give direction to that participation. The wonder of Divine timing is discovering that the good we are ready to experience can arrive in ways more extraordinary than anything we originally imagined. Apparently, Source has a flair for dramatic entrances. And Its production values are spectacular!
Neil deGrasse Tyson observed, “Time makes us all a prisoner of the present, forever transitioning from our own past into an unknown future.” I find that a fascinating scientific observation because it brings our attention to the one moment in which we actually get to participate in life: the NOW! And what an incredible privilege that is. Think about how much of your experience has prepared you for the opportunities available today. A conversation from years ago may have introduced an idea that is only now finding its fullest expression. A skill you developed for one purpose may become the foundation for something entirely different.
Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence.” Curiosity invites us to explore what else might be possible. It gives imagination permission to wander into unfamiliar territory and discover something wonderful. Every experience has the potential to be part of a magnificent future that is still revealing itself. We get to actively cocreate and participate in the discovery!
Of course, there’s another wonderful ingredient in this whole business of Divine timing, and that’s US! Imagine receiving a marvelous invitation and deciding to leave it sitting on the kitchen counter for six months. Even the Universe might be tempted to ask, “Helloooo?” Divine right action is our opportunity to respond to the endless good of God that presents itself. We make the phone call because the idea excites us. We accept the invitation because something about it feels right. We begin the project because our enthusiasm has found a direction worth pursuing. This is where spiritual awareness is mirrored in our journey as a living experience.
Divine timing and inspired action make magnificent partners because one reveals the opportunity while the other brings it into expression. So enjoy the unexpected encounters and welcome the possibilities that appear along your journey. Bring the whole of your magnificent self to whatever inspires. The Infinite Intelligence of the Universe is forever creative, and you are an individualized expression of Its endless possibilities. The Universe has a wonderful sense of timing, and YOU have the extraordinary privilege of turning those perfectly timed possibilities into the experiences of a lifetime!
